January 11th: Intermediate-Level Longsword Course Begins

This series of lessons deepens students’ understanding of the guard positions learned in the introductory course “A Taste of Knighthood.” Lessons demonstrate all seven strikes of the sword from each of the four quadrants and the defensive patterns employed by the principal guard position for that quadrant. By the end of this course, students will recognize the tactical potential inherent in any given position taken either by themselves or by their opponents.
